Bonded Tree was inspired by my fascination with twins and how they are connected to each other. I'm not sure how interesting the idea was, but to me i wanted to show a painting of two beings that seemed sad and disconnected from the world because they lived in a world that they could not move from. The foxes represent other people who mate and play and love, they have eggs because those are symbols of new life, the moths are fragments of the world. So when the one twin holds the egg, it means she is longing for a chance to be reborn. The other twin looks a little scared when she sees outside her world. So really the idea is that they are a plant that grows and grows and is part of the world because the world is around them, but they are not free to move within it.
So beautiful! Such a great idea and concept. You really thought this one through, I'm really impressed. It would be great if you sold them as prints! Just saying.
foxes, forever the trickster, and even harder to deal with as twins. =3 god, i love you art, and i didnt even find it through DA, I've been watching your art for yeeeears. had to fight at hot topic when i fould a tank head girl shirt without a price tag. i told them i'd pay anything to have it. and for once, i meant it.
One of my favorites becuz I love twins and the foxes are beautiful
The foxes' fur is really good-looking, and there's no reason to complain about the twins either
