The IdN Animé book project pays homage to the influence and style of Japanese animation. However, in this project, instead of artists interpreting a \"Day in the Life of Neo-Tokyo\" Freestyle Collective asked us to interpret what a day in the Life of Neo New York would be like.
The Assignment was to give thought to the films Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Animatrix. So this is what the Neo-New York world of 2019 could look like - in my imagination. Its futuristic, post-apocalyptic and definitely neon-lit. It will be published in book format and sometime in Spring 2009 Freestyle Collective will also display the pieces in a show. |
